FAQ

What’s the difference between full-grain leather and split leather?

Full-grain leather includes the outermost layer of the hide and is the strongest, most durable option. It is the part that will have the natural pebble texture, wrinkles, etc.

Split leather comes from lower layers of the hide.  This leather will be suede on both sides.  Good, lower cost option.

How is leather measured?
Leather is sold by the square foot, not by the yard. Each hide is irregularly shaped, so surface area is the most accurate way to measure material. Hides are elctronically scanned to determine the square footage.
